Here at the Sunflower Centre we offer advice, information and support for victims of domestic abuse, race and hate crime. We aim to ensure the safety of the victim and of their family, and to reduce their chances of becoming a victim again. These services are free and are available to any individual residing in Hertfordshire, of any age or gender, who is experiencing domestic violence or hate crime.
There are two routes that can be taken by victims of Domestic Violence, Domestic Violence Officers work with victims who choose Police involvement and Independent Domestic Violence Advisors support those who choose not to have Police involvement.
As well as the Domestic Violence Officers and the Independent Domestic Violence Advisors, the Sunflower Centre can offer the support of volunteer be-frienders. The be-frienders can sit and listen to you in a professional, confidential and non-judgemental manner.
